The Opportunity

Our continued success in delivering for many of the UK’s leading utility providers and major infrastructure developers is bringing significant growth across our team. If you care about your community and want to be involved in delivering improvements to the environment and infrastructure, then we have an exciting opportunity for a Project Planner to join our Major Projects Delivery team.

We are currently seeking a Project Planner with experience of Primavera P6 to join us. This is an exciting opportunity to get involved in a wide variety of projects, across various technical disciplines, with a primary focus on projects within the water sector. The role can be based in any Stantec UK office, with hybrid working allowing for a mix of in-office and home working.

As a Project Planner, you will be involved in developing new projects for the delivery of pre-construction, design and delivery. You will develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6; tracking project progress, identifying potential delays, and proactively implementing corrective actions. You will use your experience to identify and mitigate risks affecting the project schedule.

You will join a growing and collaborative team, working in partnership with project managers, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure that projects are delivered to schedule and budget.

Stantec have ambitious growth plans and as a result there should be lots of great development opportunities across our business - within the Water sector and beyond.

You will also be able to demonstrate:

  • Experience working on complex programmes using Primavera P6
  • Demonstrable experience managing change in P6 in accordance with the contract and client requirements
  • Solid basic understanding of design and construction sequencing
  • Familiarity with NEC 3 and NEC 4 contracts
