The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a 3D BIM Modeller to join our growing Digital Engineering team, supporting the delivery of high-quality 3D model outputs for complex Energy and Resources projects including Hydropower & Dams, Transmission & Distribution and Renewable, Waste & Generation projects, among others.

This role reports directly to the Senior 3D BIM Modelling Lead and is responsible for developing and maintaining accurate, coordinated, and compliant digital models using software such as Autodesk Revit, Autodesk Civil 3D, and Autodesk Inventor.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in 3D modelling, with a strong understanding of BIM workflows, modelling standards, and digital collaboration tools.

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for producing high-quality 3D models using Autodesk Revit, Civil 3D, and Inventor, supporting various disciplines like Civil, Hydraulic, Structural, and MEP. Your role will involve creating detailed design documentation and schedules directly from the models, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. You’ll also be responsible for refining 3D models based on design inputs and project requirements, while maintaining clear documentation and dimensions.

In model management, you’ll ensure adherence to BIM standards, maintaining model integrity, and improving coordination by reducing rework. You will apply Open BIM principles and IFC standards for seamless collaboration across different platforms, and maintain consistent templates across project models. Ensuring models align with survey and GIS data for site layouts will also be a key task.

You’ll support quality assurance efforts by ensuring compliance with project standards, performing self-checks, and engaging in peer reviews for consistency. You’ll also help with digital handover processes, ensuring compliance with client requirements.

Staying current with software advancements, you’ll learn and apply automation tools like Dynamo to improve efficiency. Additionally, you’ll participate in training sessions to develop your skills and stay updated on industry best practices.

About You

You should have experience in 3D BIM modelling within the engineering, infrastructure, or construction sectors. Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Civil 3D, and Inventor for model authoring and production is essential. You will also need basic knowledge of clash detection tools like Navisworks or Revizto and experience with multidisciplinary model coordination. A strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality models is crucial for success in this role.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills are important, as you will need to work effectively with teams. A willingness to learn and grow in a team-oriented environment is highly valued.

While not required, experience with parametric modelling and automation tools such as Dynamo or Python would be advantageous. Experience working within a Common Data Environment (CDE) like Autodesk Construction Cloud, ProjectWise, or Aconex is also beneficial.

A relevant qualification in engineering, architecture, or construction technology will be considered a plus, and a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a similar field is preferred.
