Stantec is expanding its dynamic Renewable Energy team and seeking passionate and experienced consultants to drive the transition towards a sustainable future. We're looking for individuals who can lead, innovate, and contribute to the successful delivery of diverse renewable energy projects across the UK.

Your Impact:

As a Renewable Energy Consultant / Senior Renewable Energy Consultant at Stantec, you'll be instrumental in shaping the future of energy. You'll manage projects from conception to energization, working with cutting-edge technologies like solar, wind, battery storage, hydrogen, and microgrids. You'll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, leveraging your expertise to deliver impactful solutions for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership: Manage projects from site finding and feasibility through permitting, grid connection, design, and construction, ensuring on-time, on-budget and high-quality delivery.
  • Technical Excellence: Provide technical guidance and support, particularly in power engineering, to address critical team needs and foster knowledge sharing
  • Business Growth: Contribute to bid development, produce compelling fee proposals, and identify new business opportunities
  • Risk Management: Assist in mitigating operational risks, particularly in power engineering expertise

About You

You will be Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

You will have proven experience in the renewable energy sector, with a deep understanding of technologies and regulations. You will preferably have experience working with consultancy firms in the Energy or Built Environment sector & have extensive expertise in power engineering, including grid connections, HV/LV electrical design, and power systems analysis.

You will have strong project management skills, and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

You will have technical expertise in GIS site finding, grid capacity assessment, yield analysis, energy generation & demand assessment, cashflow and cost modelling, equipment selections, design, and owner’s engineer roles.

You will have strong analytical and problem-solving abilities as well has experience in fee proposal and bid contribution.

Ideally you have a strong desire to contribute to business development.
