We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly skilled Senior Associate Transport Modeller to join our growing team in Scotland. In this role, you will play a key part in delivering high-quality transport modelling projects for a range of clients, including local authorities, government agencies, and private developers.
This is an exciting time to join Stantec as we expand across the UK&I. As a Senior Associate in our Transport Modelling team, your responsibilities will include providing technical support on a variety of transport projects across the UK, including transport modelling, forecasting, and appraisal. You will also be involved in undertaking and supporting business cases that inform transport investment decisions.
A significant aspect of the role will be managing and analysing large data sets, as well as conducting primary and desk-based research to support planning and transport projects. In addition, you will maintain client liaison, manage tasks, projects, and staff to ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget, and prepare materials for fee proposals and tenders.
ABOUT YOU
You will be a passionate Transport Modeller with a degree or higher-level qualification in Transport Planning, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Operational Research, or an equivalent field. You will have excellent report writing skills and experience in meeting demanding deadlines while managing tasks or projects. A keen interest in staying up to date with developments in transport modelling and appraisal will be essential.
You should have proven capability in one or more transport modelling software packages, such as CUBE, VISUM, SATURN, PARAMICS, or VISSIM. Additionally, proficiency in MS Excel and other analytical and programming software, such as SQL, MS Access, SPSS, Python, Visual Basic, and R, will be required. Experience with GIS will also be beneficial.
