Our Water sector teams partner with a wide variety of clients across the UK and Ireland, working on some of the most iconic projects in the industry. Our strategy within the Water division for 2024 and beyond is creating a number of new exciting opportunities, including this opportunity for a Civil Engineer to join our team.
We have flexibility around where this opportunity can be based – with our Civil Engineering teams working on local projects but also connecting into a UK and Ireland-wide community of civil engineering professionals. The role can be based from any Stantec UK or Ireland office, with hybrid working allowing for a mix of in-office and home working.
As a Civil Engineer within Stantec's Water sector teams, you will work across the project lifecycle, through asset planning, strategy, concept, outline and detailed design. You will deliver civil engineering design across a variety of projects and work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure successful project delivery outcomes for our clients.
You will play an important role in the team, developing technical solutions & providing advice to our clients. You will provide technical expertise to ensure projects are delivered to cost, schedule & quality standards. You will work closely with external stakeholders & clients to develop long term relationships.
On a personal level, you will learn and develop alongside industry experts, and be supported around career progression and job satisfaction. Your role will be varied and challenging, and you will have the opportunity to learn from the wider group and to provide mentoring to our Early Careers professionals.
About You
You will have experience working as a Civil Engineer on projects within sectors such as the water, environment or other related infrastructure sectors. You will either be a Chartered Engineer, or working towards Chartered Engineer status, with a relevant professional body such as ICE or CIWEM.
You will also be experienced in successful project delivery and have experience of working collaboratively with project teams to develop innovative solutions.
