Stantec are currently looking for a Senior Transport Planner to join our team in Leeds. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a small but innovative and ambitious transport team that are situated in the city centre. Our transport teams are busy across the UK and we are planning to grow our presence in Leeds and across the North in the coming months.

As our Senior Transport Planner, you will work amongst our close-knit multi-disciplinary team in Leeds and play an important part in the delivery of our projects from inception to completion. You will have the opportunity to work across a wide range of development projects both locally and nationally and be responsible for developing and influencing transport strategy.

On a day to day basis, you will be involved in feasibility and design of transport solutions, preparation of transport assessments and travel plans, preparation of business cases as well as supervising and mentoring junior team members. You will be a key contact to external stakeholders including our clients, design teams and local authorities.

About You

• Degree qualification in civil engineering, transportation, geography, economics or similar
• Experience and understanding of the planning system
• Transport Assessment and Travel Planning experience Junction modelling / analysis and experience of relevant software packages
• An excellent communicator [verbally and written] able to attend meetings and advise clients and technical team members, as appropriate
• Good levels of numeracy
• Budget and quality management at project level
• An interest in keeping up to date with developments in transport and planning policy and latest thinking.
