The Opportunity

We are seeking a Digital Project Manager to join our expanding Digital Engineering team within the Energy & Resources business unit. This role will support the Digital Engineering Lead in delivering Digital Engineering (DE) and Building Information Modelling (BIM) solutions on complex Energy and Resources projects, including Hydropower & Dams, Transmission & Distribution, Renewable, Waste & Generation, among others.

The successful candidate will assist in executing digital strategies, supporting project delivery processes, ensuring ISO 19650 compliance, and facilitating innovation in digital project implementation.

The Digital Project Manager will focus on managing specific digital project tasks, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and assisting in maintaining stakeholder engagement throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

This role involves supporting the digital delivery of projects, ensuring adherence to ISO 19650, client requirements, and industry standards. You will assist with task assignments, resource planning, and monitoring team outputs to maintain high-quality deliverables. Identifying potential risks in digital project execution and helping develop mitigation strategies is key, alongside coordinating project-specific tasks and providing input on digital strategy implementation.

Client engagement is also a significant part of the role. You will assist with client communications to ensure clarity on digital strategies and project objectives, document BIM requirements, and help develop and implement relevant processes and protocols. Maintaining effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders is essential to enhance collaboration and digital adoption.

The role includes responsibility for implementing and maintaining project information requirements, such as BEP, OIR, AIR, PIR, and EIR documentation, and supporting the establishment of information standards and governance protocols in line with ISO 19650. You will contribute to developing the Project Information Model (PIM) and support the transition to the Asset Information Model (AIM), ensuring compliance with information security practices.

Additionally, you will manage the Common Data Environment (CDE) using platforms like Autodesk Construction Cloud and ProjectWise, ensuring the effective sharing and storage of project data. Leading model federation, clash detection, and issue tracking activities are also part of the role. You will support BIM best practices, help drive process improvements, and assist in the implementation of emerging technologies to optimize BIM processes and boost team efficiency.

About You

The ideal candidate will have experience supporting digital delivery on projects in line with ISO 19650 standards, with a practical understanding of key documentation such as EIR, AIR, PIR, and BEP. Proficiency in Autodesk tools (including Revit, Civil 3D, Navisworks, Inventor, and ACC) and coordination platforms like Revizto and Autodesk Construction Cloud is essential. You should have hands-on experience in managing Common Data Environments (CDE), model federation, and clash detection processes. Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, along with the ability to coordinate and support digital teams in collaborative environments, are also crucial for success in this role.

Preferred qualifications include professional certifications in BIM/DE, such as BIM Certification or buildingSMART accreditation. A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is advantageous, as is certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar credentials.
